“Langue Hybride was written and arranged in less than 4 weeks during thisquietarmys music residency at Centre dExprimentation Musical (CEM) in the region of SaguenayLac-St-Jean, Qubec. Not unlike his previous full-band efforts (The Body and The Earth or Machine Consciousness), thisquietarmy expands his signature brand of guitar-based noise/ambient music even further this time, assisted by professional session musicians of CEM playing drums, percussion, bass, synth, guitar, violin and cello.

As a nod to the hybrid of languages Quach grew up with in Qubec, the title also aptly refers to the hybrid of musical languages encountered during this residency involving musicians from different backgrounds such as jazz, metal and classical, blending seamlessly with Quachs self-taught sonic experimentations and improvised style. The resulting album reflects the exploration of a wide range of genres, skillfully blended with his post-drone vision as a rich, ambitious, elaborate body of work.
