Title: The Get Up Kids Something to Write Home About
Year/Genre/Sub-Genre/City: 1999, Rock, Emo, Kansas City, Missouri
Condition: New

Cultural Facts:

Scene Ecology: Built out of the Midwest DIY circuit, where VFW halls and college towns connected bands long before emo was a mainstream tag.
Studio Lore: Recorded with Ed Rose at his Kansas studio, keeping the band local and comfortable instead of chasing a coastal producer brand.
Personal Struggle: The band has described early poverty touring, sleeping on floors and eating cheap, trying to stay friends while the road stressed everything.
