Los Angeles based psychedelic rock quintet ANCESTORS return with a new EP titled Invisible White on Tee Pee Records. The follow up to thegroup’ssophomore album Of Sound Mind, it marks the debut of new member Matt Barks on Moog and modular synthesizers and charts a newcourse for the band sprogressive, colorful sound. The songs on the EP feature a hybrid of orchestral and electronicinstruments and assume an almost cinematic, film score feel augmented by guest musicians playing violin and vibraphone. Simultaneouslyplaying to thestrengths of psychedelia, prog and even rhythm and blues, the music retains ANCESTORS exploratory approach and adds ahauntingly emotional impact,pushing the band’s sound into interstellar overdrive.
