Soul of Man are breakbeat funk connaisseurs Justin Rushmore and Jem Panufnik, who also run Finger Lickin Records, home to high-profile breaks players Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts, A-Skillz, Lee Coombs and The Drumattic Twins. The pair are best known for the singles ‘Dirty Waltzer’ and ‘The Drum’ as well as their mix CD series’Finger Lickin’ Thang and volumes for React (’21st Century Breaks’) and Distinctive(‘Y4K’) . Soul of Man also have a lengthy remix CV, handing in rerubs of Jacknife Lee, James Taylor Quartet, Fluke, Dub Pistols and Dreadzone. Jem also designs all the eye-catching artwork on the Finger Lickin’ record sleeves.
